President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is beaming with optimism as he envisions a more connected and prosperous Davao region, thanks to key infrastructure projects that are well on track to be completed before his term ends in 2028.

In a lively event in Panabo, where land titles and Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROM) were distributed, the President shared his excitement about the transformative impact of these projects. He even hinted at plans to return and personally inaugurate them when they’re done.

What Projects Are We Talking About?

Davao is getting a serious infrastructure upgrade. Among the projects making waves are:
Tagum City Bypass Road
Island Garden City of Samal Circumferential Road
(Both slated to wrap up by 2026)
Carmen-Tagum City Coastal Road

The President highlighted how these roads are set to ease traffic, improve transportation, and supercharge local business, tourism, and agriculture. “Tiyak na makakatulong ito sa pagpapabuti ng sitwasyon ng trapiko at pagpapabilis ng galaw ng inyong transportasyon,” Marcos said, speaking directly to Panabo residents.

Why It Matters

Beyond just cutting down travel time, these projects are part of a bigger plan to boost the region’s economy. Faster transport means quicker delivery of goods, better access for tourists, and stronger support for farmers and entrepreneurs.

“Patuloy po ang pagsisikap ng gobyerno na mabigyan kayo ng mga proyekto na makakatulong sa pagpapalago ng inyong mga sakahan at magpapatatag sa sektor ng agrikultura,” the President added.

More Good News for Davao Farmers

During his visit, President Marcos also distributed COCROMs to over 11,000 beneficiaries across Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, and Davao Oriental. Additionally, 672 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) received e-titles in Davao del Norte and Davao del Sur.
These moves aim to empower local farmers, providing them the security and resources they need to thrive in the agriculture sector.
Looking Ahead

President Marcos’ commitment to infrastructure and land reform projects signals a bright future for Davao and its residents. By the time these initiatives are completed, expect smoother travel, better trade, and even more reasons for tourists to visit the beautiful region.

Let’s just say, Davao’s transformation is something we’ll all want to witness. And who knows? Maybe we’ll even catch PBBM cutting the ribbon on those shiny new roads come 2026.
