President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. demonstrated his commitment to bolstering healthcare infrastructure by presenting a generous donation of PhP80.9 million from the Office of the President (OP) to Camp Navarro General Hospital (CNGH). The ceremonial turnover took place during the President's inspection of the newly constructed building at the Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM) medical facility on Thursday.

Lt. Col. Giovanni R. Falcatan, the chief of CNGH, gratefully accepted the check from the President and provided a briefing during the inspection of the hospital's new premises. The substantial donation is earmarked for the procurement of essential equipment vital for the hospital's operations, including those for the operating room, diagnostics, ward, physical therapy, and other crucial medical needs.

Established in 1975 and situated in Upper Calarian, WESMINCOM, Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur, CNGH serves as a vital healthcare hub catering to the medical needs of soldiers, their dependents, and authorized civilians within WESMINCOM's operational jurisdiction. With a capacity ranging from 50 to 100 beds, CNGH offers comprehensive medical, surgical, and pediatric services.

The completion of the new CNGH building marks a significant milestone, as it is now designated as a Role III facility, equipped to deliver critical medical services and support to both military personnel and civilians under WESMINCOM's purview. Moreover, the hospital is poised to fulfill Role II functions, providing essential support to Camp Teodulfo Bautista Station Hospital in Jolo, Sulu, which falls under the same command.
