PBBM Lauds P13 B Drug Seizure In Alitagtag, Batangas

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the inspection in Alitagtag, Batangas, where law enforcers seized nearly two tons of shabu valued at PhP13.3 billion.

In a statement, President Marcos emphasized the importance of a holistic approach in the government's anti-drug campaign, focusing on public health and dismantling major syndicates.

The seizure, hailed as the was accomplished without any casualties, underscoring the administration's commitment to respecting human rights.

P/Major Luis De Luna reported that the seizure occurred during a routine checkpoint operation in Barangay Pinagkrusan on April 15, 2024.

The driver of the van transporting the drugs has been arrested and charged, with investigations ongoing.

President Marcos reiterated the government's resolve to combat illegal drugs, promising to pursue syndicates regardless of their affiliations.

He stressed that illegal drugs have no place in his administration, and efforts will continue to expand, including collaboration with international agencies like Interpol and ASEAN.
