President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed confidence that the inaugural parliamentary elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) will be successful, emphasizing peace, accountability, and transparency as key goals. Speaking at the BARMM Mayors Conference in Manila's Diamond Hotel, President Marcos rallied local leaders to contribute to the effort, aiming for a peaceful and problem-free electoral process.

"I am confident that the elections will be successful. And by successful, I mean that it will be peaceful. It will be accountable. It will be transparent, everything," President Marcos affirmed, underscoring the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the elections' success.

President Marcos also urged unity and constructive dialogue among all stakeholders in Mindanao, highlighting the region's vast potential for development and growth.

"There’s so much opportunity. And that is why I am very optimistic, as long as we are together, as long as we understand each other," President Marcos remarked, encouraging stakeholders to seize current opportunities for regional progress.

Furthermore, President Marcos highlighted the potential for economic growth in Mindanao, citing interest from companies in establishing manufacturing facilities to create jobs and boost local economies.

"With existing investments in the province, there are companies eyeing to do business in Mindanao," President Marcos noted, emphasizing the region's attractiveness for economic ventures.
