The Philippine Wushu Team once again made the country proud as they showcased their skills and determination at the 10th Asian Wushu Championships, held from September 10-16, 2024, in Macao, China. The team brought home an impressive haul of 5 silver medals and 1 bronze, showing that they are a force to be reckoned with in the wushu arena!

Let’s give a round of applause to Jones Llabres Inso, who secured a silver medal in the Men’s Taijiquan event with his graceful and powerful movements. Inso’s performance truly captured the essence of the sport, blending martial prowess with art.

Another silver victory came in the Men’s Duilian event, thanks to the dynamic trio of Mark Anthony Polo, Mark Lester Ragay, and Vincent Ventura. Their synchronized routines were a visual treat, earning them a spot on the podium.

Our Sanda (Chinese kickboxing) fighters also brought their A-game. Clemente Tabugara Jr. (Men’s 65kg), Arnel Mandal (Men’s 52kg), and Russel Diaz (Men’s 48kg) all bagged silver medals in their respective categories, after fierce battles in the ring.

And last but not least, a big shout-out to Xander Alipio, who claimed a bronze in the Men’s 60kg Sanda category, rounding out the team’s strong performance.

Their dedication, hard work, and fighting spirit truly embodied Filipino pride on the international stage. The team’s medal haul is a testament to their perseverance, and we couldn’t be more excited for their future competitions.
