President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reiterated the Philippines' steadfast stance against the International Criminal Court (ICC), asserting that the country's judiciary remains functional and sovereign. This statement follows former Senator Leila de Lima's willingness to cooperate with the ICC in investigating the Duterte administration's "war on drugs."
