Pope Francis Shows Slight Improvement; Thanks Supporters For Prayers

Pope Francis’ health has taken a slight turn for the better, according to an update from the Holy See Press Office on Monday evening. While his condition remains serious, doctors have noted some positive signs—no asthma-like episodes today, improved lab results, and stable kidney function. He’s still on oxygen therapy, but at a lower level than before.

Given the Pope’s complex medical situation, doctors are staying cautious, but these small improvements are definitely good news.

Despite his condition, Pope Francis kept up with his daily routine as much as possible. In the morning, he received the Eucharist, and by the afternoon, he was back to work. In the evening, he even took time to reach out to the parish priest of Gaza, expressing his closeness to the community there.

The Pope also made sure to thank everyone who has been praying for him, acknowledging the outpouring of support from around the world. A particularly touching moment? The Holy Family parish in Gaza sent a video message, and Pope Francis personally called to express his gratitude.

Meanwhile, there was some confusion earlier when a French news outlet claimed that the Pope was being moved to an apartment at Rome’s Gemelli Isola Hospital. The Vatican quickly shut that down, clarifying that the apartment is actually for private patients, not for the Holy Father
