President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has addressed rumors surrounding the alleged surrender of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), to authorities. In his statement, Marcos clarified that the situation wasn't exactly a voluntary surrender on Quiboloy's part.

"He didn’t come out until we pressed him hard," Marcos said. He went on to explain that the common understanding of surrender involves a person, who knows they are wanted, voluntarily going to a police station or an official authority and stating, “I am surrendering because I know there is a court order or arrest order against me.” According to Marcos, this wasn't the case with Pastor Quiboloy.

Instead, the President emphasized that Quiboloy only surfaced because the police were closing in on him. "It wasn’t a matter of him voluntarily turning himself in. He came out because he was left with no other choice," Marcos pointed out, shedding light on the real events that led to Quiboloy’s apprehension.

This clarification from President Marcos aims to set the record straight and ensure the public understands the circumstances under which Pastor Quiboloy was brought into custody.
