President Marcos Inaugurates Key Cavitex Projects
In a significant push towards enhancing the country's infrastructure, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. inaugurated the Cavitex C5 Link Sucat Interchange today and presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the Cavitex C5 Link Segment 3B in Parañaque City.

These projects are key components of the Administration's Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative, aimed at boosting regional connectivity and economic growth.

The Cavitex C5 Link, a collaborative endeavor by the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), and Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), is designed to facilitate more efficient movement of people and goods across the region. This project marks a significant stride in improving transportation infrastructure and reducing congestion in Metro Manila.

The Cavitex Segment 2 Sucat Interchange is a 1.9-kilometer expressway linking Cavitex Radial Road 1 (R-1) from the Parañaque Toll Plaza to the Sucat Interchange. With a daily capacity to serve 12,000 motorists, the interchange aims to cut travel time by 10 minutes between the Cavitex (Seaside Road to Zapote Segment) and Sucat Road.

Complementing this, the 2-kilometer Cavitex Segment 3B will connect Cavitex in Parañaque City to C5 Road in Taguig City, finalizing the 7.7-kilometer Cavitex C5 Link. This segment, expected to handle around 8,000 vehicles daily, will have no interchanges and will play a crucial role in completing the entire Cavitex C5 Link, which will ultimately cater to 50,000 vehicles per day. The complete Cavitex C5 Link will slash travel times by 45 minutes to key urban centers such as Makati and Taguig from Parañaque City, Las Piñas City, and the Province of Cavite, thus alleviating traffic congestion in the metropolis.

Earlier today, Marcos J also led the groundbreaking for the Cavitex-Calax (Cavite-Laguna Expressway) Link Segment 4 Extension Project. This 1.3-kilometer dual 2-lane expressway will bridge Cavitex and Calax, enhancing connectivity for the eco-zones in Cavite and Laguna and supporting national development goals.

The President. emphasized the importance of these infrastructure projects in propelling economic growth and improving the quality of life for Filipinos. "These developments underscore our commitment to building a resilient and efficient transport network, pivotal for our nation’s progress," he stated.
