In a fiery statement that has caught the nation’s attention, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. did not mince words regarding the reported departure of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo.

“The departure of Alice Guo has laid bare the corruption that undermines our justice system and erodes public trust,” President Marcos declared. His message was clear and direct: those responsible will not go unpunished. “Let me be clear: heads will roll.”

The President emphasized that a full-scale investigation is already underway, aiming to expose those who facilitated Guo’s escape and betrayed the trust of the Filipino people. He assured the public that those found guilty will be held accountable.

“There is no room in this government for anyone who places personal interest above serving the Filipino people with honor, integrity, and justice,” Marcos stated, underscoring his administration’s commitment to rooting out corruption.

This strong stance from the President reflects a growing frustration with the deep-seated issues plaguing the justice system. For many, this moment represents a critical test for the administration’s resolve in combating corruption and restoring faith in the government.
