President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has met with various government officials at the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, to review the ongoing relief operations and assess the impact of the severe tropical storm ‘Enteng’.

With parts of Luzon, Visayas, and the National Capital Region (NCR) reeling from extensive damage caused by the storm, President Marcos Jr. has called for a coordinated, whole-of-government response to tackle the crisis. The storm has triggered massive flooding, displacing thousands and leading many to seek refuge in evacuation centers.

In his briefing, the President highlighted that over PhP16 million in aid has already been distributed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). He urged the agency to make effective use of the remaining PhP65.56 million in standby funds and the PhP2.60 billion allocated for food and non-food items. Additionally, he confirmed that PhP480.61 million has been set aside to support affected health services.

President Marcos Jr. reassured the public of the government's commitment to continuous support and swift recovery efforts for all those affected by the storm.
