President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has pledged to take a no-nonsense approach to tackling illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) and prohibited drugs in Pampanga, emphasizing his administration's commitment during a recent event where financial aid was distributed to farmers and fisherfolk affected by El Niño.

Addressing community concerns directly, President Marcos assured the public that his government is actively addressing these pressing issues. "I am aware of your concerns regarding criminal activities and illegal actions that disrupt the peace in your communities," he stated. "We are focusing on and addressing these issues."

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has established a dedicated task force to handle illegal POGOs, while the Bureau of Customs (BOC) is working closely with other agencies to combat the influx of prohibited drugs. President Marcos highlighted the leadership of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in spearheading the fight against illegal drugs.

"We hear your cries. We see your sacrifices," President Marcos affirmed, acknowledging the daily efforts of Filipinos in nation-building. "Your contributions are paving the way for the New Philippines we all envision."

Committing to sustained government action, President Marcos promised, "[Rest assured], we will continue to act wholeheartedly and tirelessly so that you may reap the sweet fruits of your labor."

President Marcos personally oversaw the distribution of financial assistance totaling PhP367.54 million to over 10,000 farmers and fisherfolk in Pampanga affected by agricultural losses due to the El Niño phenomenon.
