ABS-CBN Sells Part Of QC Property To Ayala Land For P6.2B - Here's What It Means
FILE
Looks like a big change is coming for ABS-CBN’s headquarters. The media giant just announced that it has signed a deal with Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) to sell a portion of its property in Quezon City for a whopping P6.2 billion.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was officially signed on February 27, 2025, covering 30,000 square meters of the total 44,027.30 sqm lot. But don’t worry—ABS-CBN isn’t moving out completely. The company plans to keep and consolidate its operations within the remaining 1.4 hectares of land. That means their offices, studios, and production facilities will still be up and running, just in a smaller space.

So, why the sale? ABS-CBN says the proceeds will go toward paying off part of its outstanding bank loans. The payment from Ayala Land will be made in installments, and the deal still needs to clear certain conditions, like approval from the Philippine Competition Commission (if required).

For now, it’s business as usual at ABS-CBN, but this move signals another major shift for the network. What do you think of this deal? Is this a smart move for ABS-CBN, or does it mark the end of an era?
