In an intense match that kept fans on the edge of their seats, Alexandra "Alex" Eala showcased her resilience and skill, advancing to the second round of the US Open qualifiers. The young tennis star from the Philippines faced off against Australia's Maddison Inglis on Court 14, and it was a battle from start to finish.

Eala started strong, taking the first set 6-3 with a combination of powerful serves and aggressive baseline play. However, Inglis bounced back in the second set, winning 6-2 and pushing the match to a deciding third set. But Eala wasn't ready to back down—she dug deep, found her rhythm again, and closed out the match with a dominant 6-1 win in the final set.

With this victory, Eala moves on to the next round, where she'll face Spain's Nuria Parrizas-Diaz tomorrow on Court 13 at 4:10 AM (Manila time). It's another tough challenge, but if today's performance is anything to go by, Eala is ready to keep fighting for her place in the main draw of the US Open.
