Alexandra "Alex" Eala’s dream run at the Miami Open isn’t slowing down anytime soon, The 19-year-old Filipina tennis sensation just punched her ticket to the quarterfinals—without even swinging her racket on Monday.

Eala was supposed to face No. 10 seed Paula Badosa in the fourth round, but the Spanish star pulled out due to a lower back injury. That means Eala, who’s been on fire this tournament, advances straight into her first-ever Hologic WTA Tour quarterfinal.

And let’s not forget how she got here. On Sunday, Eala pulled off a massive upset by taking down No. 5 seed and reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys—marking the best performance by a Filipina in the Open Era. Meanwhile, Badosa had a hard-fought win over Clara Tauson but needed a medical timeout before ultimately withdrawing from their scheduled showdown.

Eala’s historic Miami run continues as she gears up for her toughest challenge yet. She’ll next face either World No. 2 and former champ Iga Swiatek or No. 23 seed Elina Svitolina for a shot at the semifinals.

Win or lose, this Miami Open has already cemented Eala as a rising force in women’s tennis.
