Senator Christopher “Bong” Go is on a roll! In the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, he has jumped to second place among voter preferences for the 2025 senatorial race, securing 38% support. This is another step up from his rankings in previous months—proving that his brand of "sipag at malasakit" is resonating with Filipinos.

And he’s not taking this for granted.

"Taus-puso ang aking pasasalamat sa patuloy na suporta at tiwala ninyo sa aking pagseserbisyo," Go said, acknowledging the growing public trust in him.

Consistently Climbing the Ranks

Go’s strong survey performance isn’t just a one-time thing. Across different polling firms, his numbers remain solid. In Pulse Asia’s January survey, he ranked 2nd to 3rd with 50.4% voter support. The OCTA Research Tugon ng Masa poll also had him in the statistical top three with a 58% preference rating.

With this momentum, he’s more determined than ever to serve.

"Kung papalarin at mabibigyan ako ng bagong pagkakataong maglingkod sa bayan, lalo kong sisipagan ang pagseserbisyo sa kapwa ko Pilipino sa abot ng aking makakaya," he vowed.

A Track Record of Public Service

It’s no secret that Go’s rise in the rankings is backed by his long-standing advocacy for healthcare and social welfare. As chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, he played a key role in establishing the Malasakit Centers, which have now helped over 17 million Filipinos across 167 locations nationwide. These centers provide a one-stop-shop for medical and financial assistance, easing the burden for indigent patients.

His efforts don’t stop there. He has championed the Super Health Centers, community-based facilities aimed at decongesting hospitals while providing primary healthcare services. More than 700 of these centers have already been funded, thanks to his initiatives.

Recognizing the need for better specialized care, Go also co-authored the Regional Specialty Centers Act, which decentralizes high-level medical services by setting up specialty centers in regional hospitals.

More Reforms on the Horizon

Go isn’t slowing down. He’s pushing for major PhilHealth reforms, including a significant increase in benefit packages and the removal of policies that disadvantage the poor, like the 24-hour confinement rule. He’s also advocating for the creation of a Center for Disease Control and Prevention and a Virology Science and Technology Institute to bolster the country’s preparedness against health crises.

Beyond healthcare, Go is also committed to education reforms. He wants to expand the Tertiary Education Subsidy to support more students and has backed several key laws, including the No Permit, No Exam Prohibition Act, the Free College Entrance Examinations Act, and the Kabalikat sa Pagtuturo Act, which increases teaching allowances for public school teachers.

“Serbisyo ang Bisyo Ko”

Despite his rising survey numbers, Go remains grounded in his mission.

"Sipag, malasakit at more serbisyo ang maiaalay ko sa inyo dahil bisyo ko ang magserbisyo," he said.

With a clear track record and a strong push for more reforms, Go’s momentum in the 2025 elections is undeniable. But one thing’s for sure—he’s not just relying on numbers. He’s banking on real service to keep winning the trust of Filipinos.
