Senator Christopher “Bong” Go is starting the year strong, landing as one of the top early frontrunners in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey. Sharing the #3-#4 spot with Senator Lito Lapid, Go secured 37% in the pre-election survey conducted from January 17-20, 2025.

Grateful for the continued trust of the Filipino people, Go expressed his commitment to further strengthening his advocacy for public service.

“Lubos po akong nagpapasalamat sa bawat Pilipino sa patuloy na tiwala at suporta. Ito ay magsisilbing inspirasyon sa akin na lalo pang paigtingin ang pagbibigay malasakit at pagseserbisyo sa bayan,” he said.

A Champion for Healthcare and Public Service

Go, known for his “Bisyo ang serbisyo” mantra, has built a reputation for his hands-on approach in helping Filipinos in need. His flagship project, the Malasakit Centers, has provided medical assistance to over 15 million Filipinos, according to the Department of Health (DOH). These centers—now numbering 166 across the country—serve as a one-stop shop for indigent patients seeking financial aid for hospital bills and other medical expenses.

As Chair of the Senate Committee on Health, Go has been instrumental in improving PhilHealth services, advocating for the removal of restrictive policies such as the Single Period of Confinement (SPC) rule and the 24-hour confinement requirement, making healthcare access easier for Filipinos.

Recognizing that 47% of Filipinos consider good health as their greatest blessing, according to a previous SWS poll, Go emphasized the importance of sustaining and expanding government healthcare initiatives.

Beyond Healthcare: Relief and Aid for Filipinos

But Go’s efforts don’t stop at healthcare. He has been actively involved in relief operations for disaster victims, assisting families affected by fires, typhoons, and other calamities. His commitment to public service has earned him the title “Mr. Malasakit.”

“Patuloy kaming magseserbisyo sa inyo dahil bisyo ko ang magserbisyo at ako ay naniniwala na ang serbisyo sa tao ay serbisyo sa Panginoon,” he said.

With the 2025 elections drawing near, it looks like Bong Go’s brand of “Serbisyong May Malasakit” continues to resonate with the people—proving that when it comes to public service, actions truly speak louder than words.
