Caught On Cam: CCTV Footage Exposes BI Personnel In Korean Fugitive's Escape - Viado Drops The Hammer

It looks like the truth is finally coming to light. Newly uncovered CCTV footage and witness testimonies have strengthened the case against Bureau of Immigration (BI) personnel allegedly involved in the escape of a high-profile Korean fugitive. And BI Commissioner Joel Viado is wasting no time—he’s ordered immediate dismissals and criminal charges for those implicated.

“This footage is damning evidence—hindi ito simpleng kapabayaan. The movements and interactions caught on camera strongly indicate collusion,” Viado said, making it clear that this isn’t just a case of negligence but a full-blown conspiracy.

The Smoking Gun: CCTV and Testimonies Seal the Case

Investigators are carefully reviewing the CCTV footage, which allegedly shows BI officers playing an active role in the fugitive’s escape. To make things worse (or better for the case), multiple witness statements back up these suspicions, adding even more weight to the accusations.

Viado confirmed that the evidence is solid enough to push forward with criminal charges. “This is no longer just an internal disciplinary matter—this is a full-blown criminal case,” he emphasized. With that, the Department of Justice (DOJ) is now stepping in to take legal action.

No More Second Chances: Crackdown on Corruption

But Viado isn’t stopping there. He’s also ordered a deeper internal audit of all high-risk deportation and detention cases to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Additional personnel suspected of involvement have already been placed under preventive suspension.

“Hindi tayo titigil hangga’t hindi napaparusahan at nakukulong ang mga may kasalanan para hindi na pamarisan,” Viado vowed. In other words, this is just the beginning. He made it crystal clear that the days of corruption, under-the-table deals, and illicit transactions in the Bureau are numbered.

“Walang sasantuhin—everyone involved will face the consequences,” Viado warned.

With law enforcement and the DOJ working closely on the case, it’s only a matter of time before those responsible are brought to justice.
