Chavit Singson Bows Out Of Senate Race: 'Health Comes First'

In a Facebook livestream, seasoned political figure Chavit Singson revealed his decision to withdraw from the 2025 senatorial race, citing health concerns as the primary reason.
"Mga kaibigan, mahalaga ng maayos ang kalusugan para magpatuloy ako sa pagtulong at magbigay ng saya sa inyong lahat," Chavit shared, his tone both sincere and reflective. "Kaya matapos ang mahabang pag-iisip, nag-desisyon ko po, hindi na ako tutuloy sa aking kandidatura sa Senado."
Singson, known for his dynamic leadership and hands-on approach, expressed the challenges of running a vigorous campaign while managing his health. "Hindi po biro ang kampanya, lalo na ang trabaho ng isang senador, kung talagang magtatrabaho. Ayaw kong ipilit. Ang aking kalusugan ay maaring magdusa," he admitted.
In a candid revelation, Chavit mentioned a recent health scare that played a significant role in his decision. "Sa totoo lang, tumakas na lang ako sa ospital dahil ayaw nila akong palabasin. Bagamat nagamot nila ang pneumonia, kailangan ko raw ng mahabang panahon ng pahinga. Ngunit gusto ko po kayong makausap na personal."
Despite stepping back from the senatorial race, Singson reassured his supporters of his continued commitment to public service. "Gusto ko pong makapaglingkod sa inyo ng buong puso at buong lakas kaya’t minabuti kong unahin muna ang aking pagpapalakas upang mas lalo pa akong makatulong at makapaglingkod sa inyong lahat," he emphasized.
Before concluding his address, Chavit extended his gratitude and apologies to those who had invested time and energy into his campaign. "Humihingi po ako ng tawad sa mga nagbigay ng oras, lakas, at suporta para sa kampanyang ito."
