Congress is all in when it comes to boosting the real estate sector—at least, that’s what Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez made clear during RE/MAX Philippines’ 25th Anniversary Gala.

Speaking at the Grand Ballroom of Shangri-La The Fort in Bonifacio Global City, Romualdez highlighted how real estate plays a crucial role in the economy and in helping Filipinos achieve their dreams of homeownership.

“As Speaker of the House of Representatives, I fully recognize the vital role that real estate plays in our economy,” Romualdez told industry leaders. “That is why we in Congress continue to support policies that foster a strong, competitive, and sustainable real estate sector—ensuring that businesses like RE/MAX thrive and that homeownership remains an achievable dream for many Filipinos.”

He also took a moment to celebrate RE/MAX Philippines’ milestone, recognizing the company’s impact on the industry over the past 25 years. “For a quarter of a century, RE/MAX has set the benchmark for professionalism, integrity, and success in real estate,” he said, adding that their commitment to service has helped countless Filipinos find homes, build businesses, and make sound investments.

On the international stage, Romualdez was proud to note that Filipino real estate professionals continue to shine. He praised Eddie Santos, Jun Camcam, and Marissa Garcia for making waves globally, securing spots among the top brokers at the RE/MAX R4 2025 Convention in Las Vegas.

“Out of 140,000 real estate agents globally, you have emerged as leaders—not just for RE/MAX, but for the entire Philippine real estate industry,” he said. “Your achievements inspire others to strive for greater heights, proving once again that Filipino professionals are among the best in the world.”

Before wrapping up, Romualdez left industry professionals with a call to action: keep pushing forward. “May you continue to be a driving force in shaping the future of real estate in our country,” he urged.

With Congress backing policies that promote a thriving real estate market, Romualdez made it clear—there’s a bright future ahead for the industry and for Filipinos looking to turn their homeownership dreams into reality.
