Dancesport has transitioned from a demo sport to a regular fixture in the upcoming 2024 Palarong Pambansa, scheduled from July 9-16. The competition, set to take place at G Mall of Cebu in Cebu City, marks a milestone as Dancesport events, including Waltz, Tango, Samba, Chachacha, and Rumba, will now contribute to the official medal tally.

This year’s Palaro will feature approximately 24 medal events dedicated to elementary and secondary-level Dancesport athletes, highlighting their skill and dedication. Additionally, the event will showcase other sports such as Soft Tennis, Karatedo, Football (Secondary Girls), and Esports as Exhibition Sports, aiming for future inclusion.

New awards await the top-performing regions and Schools Division Office, recognizing their support and contribution to the success of the student-athletes. Hosted by Cebu City, the 2024 Palarong Pambansa will offer livestreaming coverage of events via Facebook and YouTube, ensuring widespread access to this prestigious scholastic sporting event.
