Eid'l Fitr Confirmed: Bangsamoro Grand Mufti Announces End Of Ramadhan

Eid Mubarak! The long-awaited announcement has been made—Eid’l Fitr is officially observed today, March 31, 2025. This comes after Bangsamoro Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulrauf Guialani confirmed the sighting of the crescent moon on Sunday evening.
In a live broadcast, Sheikh Guialani shared the news, saying, “By the authority vested in me, as the Bangsamoro Mufti, I, Abdulrauf Guialani, hereby announce that the crescent moon was sighted today. Therefore, Eid’l Fitr and the first day of Shawwal will be tomorrow, Monday, March 31, 2025, In Shaa Allah.”
The announcement followed simultaneous moon-sighting activities conducted by the Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta’ (BDI) across the region. With this, Muslim communities in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BARMM) and beyond are set to gather for Eid congregational prayers at mosques and prayer grounds, marking the joyous conclusion of Ramadhan.
Eid’l Fitr, also known as the "Festival of Breaking the Fast," is not just a day of celebration but a reflection of the values cultivated during Ramadhan—faith, sacrifice, and generosity. It’s a time for families to come together, strengthen bonds, and share the blessings of the season.
Even President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. extended his greetings, calling for unity, compassion, and service beyond the holy month. “Let us continue to embody the virtues of dedication and faith so we can foster a more equitable and peaceful Bagong Pilipinas,” he said in his message.
As we celebrate this blessed occasion, may the spirit of Eid inspire us all to be more understanding, giving, and united as a nation. Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim brothers and sisters.
