EJ Laure is back in the Premier Volleyball League, and this time, she’s wearing the colors of the Nxled Chameleons. The 27-year-old outside spiker, a former University of Santo Tomas (UST) star, was officially announced as part of the Nxled squad on Monday, adding an exciting spark to the team's lineup in the ongoing 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference.

After a two-year stint with Chery Tiggo, where she played a key role in their historic title run and helped them reach three semifinals, Laure is ready to bring her experience and leadership to Nxled—a young team still looking for its first win of the season. With new Italian head coach Ettore Guidetti at the helm, the Chameleons are hoping Laure's veteran presence will help turn things around after a tough start, losing their opening matches to PLDT and ZUS Coffee.

The team couldn’t hide their excitement, posting on social media: “We’re so thrilled to have you on board and can’t wait to see you light up this fresh start! We’re rooting for you on your return to the PVL court, EJ!”

In a twist of fate, Laure's first game with Nxled will be against none other than her former team, Chery Tiggo. The match is set for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Philsports Arena—an intriguing battle where Laure will face off against her old teammates in a high-stakes showdown.
