The Philippines' top pole vaulter EJ Obiena has slid down to world No. 3 following his stint at the Paris Olympics 2024 where he finished outside the podium.

Obiena slid from his No. 2 ranking, which he had held since July last year, after American Sam Kendricks took over the spot with his silver medal victory in Paris.

The Asian Games gold medalist missed the bronze after failing to clear 5.95 meters, losing to Greece's Emmanouil Karalis, who took the bronze and the world No.4 spot.

Still in No. 1 is Sweden's Mondo Duplantis, who won Olympic gold with a new world record of 6.25 meters.
