Expanded Number Coding Scheme Suspended On Specific Holiday Dates
File
Good news for motorists this holiday season. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced that the expanded number coding scheme will be suspended on specific dates to help accommodate the surge of holiday travelers. Here's the list of dates you should keep in mind:

Tuesday, December 24 – Christmas Eve (Special Non-Working Holiday)

Wednesday, December 25 – Christmas Day (Regular Holiday)

Monday, December 30 – Rizal Day (Regular Holiday)

Tuesday, December 31 – New Year’s Eve (Special Non-Working Holiday)

Wednesday, January 1, 2025 – New Year’s Day (Regular Holiday)

With families heading to reunions, parties, or vacations, it's no surprise that traffic volume spikes during the holiday rush. To help ease your travels, MMDA is giving you a breather by pausing the number coding scheme on these key days.

Wherever your destination may be this Christmas and New Year, remember: plan your trips ahead, follow traffic rules, and always drive safely. Let’s all keep the holiday spirit alive—not stuck in traffic.
