Joanie Delgaco is set to become the first Filipina to compete in Rowing at the Paris Olympics, marking a historic moment for the Philippines. Currently, the Philippines has only had four rowers who have competed in the Olympics.

Delgaco secured her spot after clinching the fourth position at the World Rowing Asian and Oceanian World Qualification Regatta held in Chungju, South Korea, with a total time of 7:49.39. Her impressive performance solidified her place among the athletes heading to Paris.

Delgaco has been a part of the rowing team since 2015 and has previously represented the Philippines at the Southeast Asian Games, where she brought home a gold medal in 2019 and a silver in 2022.

Let's rally behind Joanie Delgaco as she aims to make history and wave our flag proudly at Paris 2024!
