As the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) gears up for an epic 2024-25 season, powerhouse teams PLDT, Cignal, Petro Gazz, and Chery Tiggo are primed to unleash their best in the All-Filipino Conference. Set to kick off on Saturday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City, this six-month-long showdown promises fiery matchups, thrilling rallies, and all the intense drama fans love!

These four perennial contenders each bring something unique to the court this season, blending stability, fresh talent, and new dynamics as they gear up for title runs. Whether it's the High Speed Hitters, the HD Spikers, the Angels, or the Crossovers, every team has a story to tell as they face off against 12 tough competitors.

For PLDT and Petro Gazz, consistency is the name of the game. Both squads are banking on their core lineups to give them an edge over rivals, hoping that familiarity and chemistry will propel them through the long season. Petro Gazz's MJ Phillips, excited about the team's cohesion, shares, “Chemistry is always very important, and being with them, with no changes, is a great thing. I'm just very excited about this conference.” Likewise, PLDT head coach Rald Ricafort highlights the importance of continuous growth, saying, “We always focus on improvement. If we're improving, even a little, it reflects in our standings.”

Meanwhile, Cignal and Chery Tiggo have had to adjust after losing some key players in the off-season. Cignal will be missing Rachel Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga, while Chery Tiggo bids farewell to the Laure sisters, Eya and EJ, as well as libero Buding Duremdes. These changes have opened the door for other players to step into the spotlight, and both teams are embracing this season as a chance for renewal. “It’s about time for individuality and character to come out,” says Chery Tiggo's new head coach Norman Miguel, encouraging his players to give their all.

Each team’s debut game promises plenty of action: PLDT kicks things off against the Nxled Chameleons on Nov. 12, with Petro Gazz taking on the Choco Mucho Flying Titans on opening day. Cignal will meet the Foxies on Nov. 16, while Chery Tiggo will clash with Capital1.
