Ginebra Levels The Playing Field: Kings Storm Back To Tie The Series Against TNT
Barangay Ginebra is officially back in the race. After a rocky start to the PBA Governors' Cup Finals, the Kings have clawed their way from a 0-2 series deficit to even things up against TNT in spectacular fashion. With a blend of stifling defense and explosive shooting, they took Game Four in a 106-92 thriller, thanks to Justin Brownlee's sizzling 34-point performance that sent the fans at Smart Araneta Coliseum roaring.

Brownlee led the charge, hitting two rare four-point shots and three three-pointers, making sure TNT felt the heat from all sides. He wasn’t alone, though—Stephen Holt, Maverick Ahanmisi, and Japeth Aguilar each added 18 points, while Scottie Thompson chipped in with 12. With five players hitting double digits, Ginebra looked more dangerous than ever, scoring over 100 points for the first time in the series after averaging just 85.6 in the previous three games. They were firing on all cylinders, hitting an impressive 56.3% of their shots, including a lethal 60% from the four-point zone.

After taking Game Three with an 85-73 defensive display, Ginebra switched gears and brought the offense. They surged ahead in the first quarter, building a lead that forced TNT to play catch-up for most of the game. Even though Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Calvin Oftana combined for a solid 54 points, TNT just couldn’t slow down the red-hot Ginebra offense. Ahanmisi’s clutch four-pointer sealed the game at 101-90, sending a clear message that the Kings are back in business.

With the series now tied 2-2, Game Five at the Big Dome is set to be another intense battle. Can Ginebra keep the momentum going, or will TNT find a way to regain control? One thing’s for sure—this series is just heating up.
