Heads Up, Mindanao: Tropical Depression 'Querubin' Forms Over East Of Mindanao
Here we go again, folks—another weather update for Mindanao. The low-pressure area we've been watching has now strengthened into a tropical depression named “Querubin.”

As of 4:00 PM, the center of Querubin was spotted about 215 km east-southeast of Davao City or 245 km east of General Santos City. It’s currently moving slowly south-southeastward and packing maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near its center, with gusts reaching up to 55 km/h.

Now, while it’s not a super strong system (yet), Querubin’s reach isn’t small. Strong winds are extending up to 180 km from its center, so coastal areas and nearby provinces should stay alert for possible rainfall, gusty conditions, and rough seas.

If you're in Mindanao—particularly in Davao and surrounding areas—keep an eye out for updates, and make sure you’re ready for some potentially wet and windy days ahead.
