In a historic move, the House of Representatives has officially impeached Vice President Sara Duterte. With 215 lawmakers signing off on the complaint, the case now moves to the Senate for trial—marking a major political shake-up in the country.

So, what’s this all about? The impeachment stems from three separate complaints, accusing Duterte of misusing confidential funds, engaging in graft and corruption, and betraying public trust. These are serious allegations, and under the 1987 Constitution, these are grounds for impeachment.
