In a recent interview with ABS-CBN News, Indonesian Interpol Chief General Krisha Murti made it clear that there was no "exchange deal" involved in the arrest of former Mayor Alice Guo by Philippine authorities. Rumors had been swirling that the capture of Guo, a high-profile fugitive, was somehow linked to the recent apprehension of Australia’s most wanted drug kingpin by Indonesian authorities.

General Murti didn't hold back in clarifying the situation, stating, “Whether you give it or not, we don’t [mind]. But this is our government; we need sometimes to deal with many things. We are fine with that, so this is not a deal. If there are other cases, we’ll still support.”

The General's words emphasized the commitment of the Indonesian authorities to international cooperation, regardless of any unrelated high-profile arrests. "We’re just doing our job," he seemed to suggest, reinforcing that their actions are motivated by duty and not by any secret deals or exchanges.

So, while some might have speculated that the capture of these two fugitives was part of some larger arrangement between the two countries, General Murti’s statement makes it clear: the Indonesian Interpol is simply focused on enforcing the law and maintaining good relations with their neighbors in the Philippines. No strings attached.
