Great news for basketball fans! Filipino sensation Jack Danielle Animam has signed with a Romanian club for the 2024-2025 season. At just 25 years old, Animam is making waves in the international basketball scene, and now she’s set to bring her talents to Romania.

Animam, who plays as a power forward, isn’t just any player—she’s a true standout for the Philippines. She first caught everyone’s attention back in 2015 when she became the youngest player on the Philippine national team at just 16 years old during the FIBA Asia Women’s Championship.

Since then, she’s represented her country in numerous international competitions, including the SEABA Championship in 2016 and the Southeast Asian Games in 2019. In the latter, she didn't just play—she dominated, winning two gold medals and helping the Philippines secure the women’s 3x3 title.

But that’s not all. Animam has also competed in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup and the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup, showing that she’s just as dangerous in 3x3 basketball as she is in the traditional format.

In 2024, she showed her skills in the World Championship qualifiers, putting on an impressive performance against Brazil, where she scored 18 points and grabbed 21 rebounds in 32 minutes of play. That game turned heads and proved she’s ready to take her game to the next level in Europe.

Last season, Animam played in Australia with the Ringwood Hawks, but her basketball journey has taken her around the world, with stints in China, France, and Serbia. Now, Romanian basketball fans can look forward to seeing her in action as she continues to make her mark on the international stage.
