Joanie Delgaco, the trailblazing Filipina rower, made a notable splash in the women's singles sculls semifinals C/D 1 at the Paris Olympics. With a time of 8:00.18, Delgaco secured 5th place, moving on to the Finals D event to determine her final standing.

Delgaco gave it her all in the quarterfinals, aiming for a spot in the top 3. Despite her valiant effort, she finished 6th, which set her up for the semifinals C/D. But her resolve didn't waver; she pushed through with the same fierce determination that got her this far.

This competition is especially significant as Delgaco is the first Filipina to compete in rowing at the Paris Olympics, marking a historic achievement for the Philippines.
