The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) is going all out to ensure justice for Michaela Mickova, the foreign national whose tragic death in Boracay has shocked the community. In a strong statement, PRO-6 made it clear—they will not stop until those responsible are caught and brought to justice.

“This is a heinous crime, and we will not allow it to disrupt the peace of Boracay. We are personally leading the investigation, working closely with the local community and authorities to send a clear message: crime has no place in Western Visayas,” the statement read.

A Community in Shock

Michaela Mickova, described as a vibrant young woman with a passion for life, was found dead in Sitio Pinaungon, Brgy. Balabag, Malay, Aklan, on March 12. Authorities responded immediately, launching a full-scale investigation to determine what happened and who is responsible.

While the details of the case are still unfolding, the local police, along with the Aklan Provincial Police Office, are working tirelessly to piece together the evidence. Their goal? To ensure that justice is served swiftly and fairly.

Boracay Remains Safe, But Authorities Are on High Alert

Despite the tragic nature of this case, PRO-6 reassured both residents and tourists that Boracay remains a safe and secure destination. Law enforcement presence on the island has been heightened, and authorities are calling on the community to cooperate fully with the investigation.

“We will not rest until the criminals are apprehended. We ask for everyone’s support, and most importantly, let’s say a prayer for Michaela and her family,” the statement concluded.
