A grieving mother is speaking out, saying her daughter’s tragic death wasn’t just a random act of violence—it was the horrifying end of relentless bullying.

The Grade 8 student from Moonwalk National High School, who was fatally stabbed on March 26, had reportedly been receiving threats days before the attack. Her mother, heartbroken and in disbelief, revealed chilling details about what her daughter had endured.

“Binabantaan po ang anak ko, sinasabi sasaksakin kita, papatayin kita,” she said, recalling the threats her daughter had received. “Sinabi sa anak ko ng Martes, ‘Aabangan kita sa school.’ Gawa-gawa lang yan, gumanon pa ako sa anak ko. ‘Hindi, Mama, totoo yan,’ sabi niya. ‘Baka, Mama, ako ay mamatay’—yun ang sagot niya sa akin.”

Her words paint a devastating picture—one of a young girl who knew she was in danger but had no way to escape it.

School Responds, Assures Safety Measures

Moonwalk National High School released an official statement mourning the student’s passing and extending condolences to her family.

They emphasized that the incident was isolated and assured parents that safety measures—such as stricter bag inspections—are being implemented to prevent similar tragedies. The school also stated that they are fully cooperating with law enforcement to ensure justice is served.

However, with the victim’s mother insisting that bullying played a role, questions remain. Was enough done to protect the student before it was too late? And how can schools prevent such horrifying incidents from happening again?

As the investigation continues, one thing is clear: a family has lost a beloved daughter, and a community is left grappling with the painful reality of school violence.
