One of Central Luzon’s most wanted men, Alan Dennis Lim Sytin, has finally been caught after years on the run. Thanks to a high-level operation between the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) and the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), Sytin was arrested in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia on March 22, 2025—bringing an end to a long manhunt.

The ₱10 Million Manhunt

Sytin wasn’t just any fugitive—he had a whopping ₱10 million bounty on his head. He was accused of masterminding the 2018 murder of his brother, Dominic Sytin, the President and Founder of United Auctioneers Inc. (UAI). The crime, which happened in front of a hotel in Subic Bay Freeport, sent shockwaves through the business world.

Gunman Edgardo Luib was arrested and later convicted for the killing. But before that, he spilled everything—pointing to Alan Dennis Lim Sytin as the one who ordered the hit. Another key player, Edrian T. Rementilla (aka Ryan Rementilla/Oliver Fuentes), who allegedly acted as the middleman, was also arrested on the same day in Iligan City through a joint effort by PRO3 and PRO10.

Caught at a Rugby Club

After an intensive intelligence and surveillance operation, authorities finally tracked down Sytin in Cobra Rugby Club, Petaling Jaya. The successful arrest was the result of close coordination between the Office of the Police Attaché (OPA) in Malaysia, the Special Branch of the RMP, and IPD Petaling Jaya RMP.

With PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo leading the charge, Philippine authorities worked tirelessly with their Malaysian counterparts to make this arrest happen.

What’s Next for Sytin?

Now that he’s in custody, the next step is bringing him back to the Philippines to face legal proceedings. The extradition process is already in motion, and authorities are making sure that Sytin won’t slip away this time.

“This operation highlights the power of international cooperation in bringing fugitives to justice. It sends a strong message that no one can escape accountability, no matter where they flee,” said PNP spokesperson PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo.

As Sytin prepares to face the consequences of his alleged crimes, authorities continue to remind the public to stay vigilant and report any information on wanted persons. Further updates on his repatriation and legal proceedings will be released soon.
