In a press conference held in Quezon City this Monday morning, April 7, Interior and Local Government secretary Juanito Victor Remulla presented arrested Russian-American vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, whose recent behavior toward Filipinos sparked outrage online.

Zdorovetskiy, known for his viral prank videos, was taken into custody after allegedly harassing several individuals in public—an act that did not sit well with authorities or the general public.

During the briefing, Secretary Remulla made it clear that the controversial content creator would not be receiving any special treatment. “Hindi po namin siya ide-deport. Mananagot siya sa batas dito sa Pilipinas,” Remulla said firmly.

That statement quickly resonated with Filipinos online, many of whom have been calling for accountability over Zdorovetskiy’s actions. The message was clear: just because someone is famous doesn’t mean they’re above the law—especially not in the Philippines.

As of now, the legal process continues, with officials emphasizing that justice will be served locally.
