President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. wasted no time in ensuring that communities affected by Typhoon Enteng receive swift and effective assistance. During a briefing in Antipolo City, he directed all national agencies and local government units (LGUs) to work together in delivering aid to those in need.

The President emphasized the need for the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to continue distributing relief goods. Meanwhile, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) were tasked with teaming up for clearing operations in affected areas.

In addition to the immediate response, President Marcos also called for thorough preparations for future typhoons. He stressed the importance of regularly updating flood hazard maps to ensure the safety of vulnerable communities.

But it wasn't just about immediate relief—President Marcos also highlighted the need to strengthen infrastructure to better protect communities from the devastating effects of heavy rainfall. He pointed to projects like building additional dams and expanding the Wawa Dam Project as critical steps in mitigating flood risks in the future.

With these directives, PBBM is showing a proactive approach to disaster preparedness and recovery, ensuring that both short-term and long-term measures are in place to safeguard the nation.
