Philippine Airlines (PAL) has issued a stern warning to the public regarding a fraudulent Facebook page promoting a PHP168 travel deal purportedly from the airline. The bogus page falsely claims to offer promotional fares and requests personal information, including bank account details, from unsuspecting individuals. PAL is taking legal action to have this fraudulent account removed.

In an official statement, PAL highlighted the risks associated with engaging with these fake sites: "These bogus websites and pages aim to lure and mislead you into thinking that they are official airline promotion sites, and they request you to give personal information such as bank account details."

The airline emphasized the importance of caution, advising the public not to interact with these fake platforms: "We warn the public against logging on and engaging with any of these fake platforms, as doing so will compromise or breach the privacy of your personal data."

Philippine Airlines clarified that it does not use its social media pages, including the Official PAL Facebook page, to sell tickets or offer promotions. Official tickets can only be purchased through PAL's official website, contact center hotlines, ticketing offices, or authorized travel agencies. The airline also assured that booking through these channels does not require providing bank account details.

The airline reaffirmed: "Our PAL Website and PAL FB Pages do not offer cash/ticket prizes."

Philippine Airlines urges the public to remain vigilant and to only use verified channels for booking and inquiries to ensure the security of their personal information.
