Philippine Dragon Boat Team Bags Five Medals on Opening Day of the 2024 ICF Dragon Boat World Championships!

In an exciting start to the 2024 ICF Dragon Boat World Championships, our Philippine Dragon Boat Team paddled their way to an impressive five-medal haul on the first day, dominating the finals of the 2000-meter race!
The Junior Team kicked things off with powerful strokes, clinching a silver medal in the mixed category. Not stopping there, they added another medal to the tally, securing a bronze in the open event. Talk about young talent showing up strong!
Our seasoned 50+ paddlers proved age is just a number, powering through to claim a silver in the Women’s 10-seater 2000-meter race and a bronze in the open 10-seater category. Their skill and determination shone, bringing home medals that showcase the depth of talent across all generations in the team.
Meanwhile, the 40+ paddlers made their mark as well, grabbing a bronze in the 10-seater 2000-meter race. This medal is a testament to the hard work and discipline of these dedicated athletes, proudly representing the Philippines on the world stage.
