Philippines Shines Bright In Times Square: A Dazzling Invitation To 'Love The Philippines'

The Philippines is lighting up the Big Apple again. For the second year in a row, the Philippine Department of Tourism in New York (PDOT-NY), in partnership with the Philippine Consulate General, has brought its vibrant “Love the Philippines” campaign to the heart of Times Square.

Strategically placed at Broadway and 44th corner 45th Streets, a giant LED billboard showcases everything that makes the Philippines unforgettable—breathtaking beaches, lush biodiversity, rich traditions, and mouthwatering dishes. The campaign features 15-second video clips that offer a glimpse into the unique beauty and culture of the Philippines, captivating thousands of daily passersby in one of the busiest spots in the world.

“‘Love the Philippines’ is more than just a slogan,” said Tourism Attaché Francisco Lardizabal. “It’s an invitation to fall in love with the sights, stories, smiles, and experiences that make our country special.”

But it doesn’t stop there. This December, expect to see even more of the Philippines in New York. Taxi-top ads will be hitting the streets, while the Philippine Center’s LED Windows will showcase festive Philippine-themed displays just in time for the holidays. And, of course, the “Paskong Pinoy” celebration will add even more Filipino flair to the season.

This exciting campaign is part of the PDOT’s mission to put the Philippines on the global tourism map. Whether you’re drawn by pristine islands or vibrant cultural experiences, one thing’s for sure—there’s always a reason to “Love the Philippines.”
