Pope Francis Spends Another Restful Night In The Hospital As He Continues Recovery

It looks like Pope Francis is getting some much-needed rest. The Holy See Press Office shared on Monday morning that the Pope had a peaceful tenth night at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital, where he is being treated for double pneumonia.

"The night went well; the Pope slept and is resting," the statement read. And honestly, that’s a relief—rest is key to recovery.

While his condition remains serious, the Vatican reassured everyone that he hasn’t had any respiratory crises since Saturday morning. However, his medical team is keeping a close eye on things. Over the weekend, he received blood transfusions to boost his hemoglobin levels, and doctors are monitoring early signs of mild kidney issues, which they say are under control. He continues to receive high-flow oxygen therapy through nasal cannulas.

Despite everything, Pope Francis has been staying spiritually strong. On Sunday, he attended Mass in his hospital apartment, surrounded by the doctors and nurses taking care of him.

For now, the world continues to pray for his recovery, hoping for more positive updates in the days ahead.
