Agnes Keleti, the world’s oldest Olympic champion, has passed away at the age of 103, leaving behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Keleti, a gymnastics legend, was a five-time Olympic gold medalist, a three-time silver medalist, and a two-time bronze medalist. Widely regarded as Hungary’s greatest gymnast, she was named "Athlete of the Nation" and earned her place in the history books as one of the sport’s most successful athletes.

The Hungarian Olympic Committee shared the news with a heartfelt tribute: "Rest In Peace, Aunt Agi."

Keleti’s incredible journey was marked by perseverance, resilience, and an indomitable spirit. She developed a love for gymnastics just before World War II, training at the Jewish VAC Club in Budapest. However, her promising career was soon interrupted by the horrors of war.

Her story is one of survival and triumph. Born into a Jewish family, Keleti endured the devastating effects of the Holocaust, but she came out stronger. After the war, she defied all odds to become one of the most decorated gymnasts in Olympic history, with ten Olympic medals—five of them gold.

Thomas Bach, the President of the International Olympic Committee, also honored Keleti in a tribute on their website: "Agnes Keleti was the oldest living Olympic Champion and passed away only a week before her 104th birthday. She will be remembered forever for her inspirational story."

Keleti’s remarkable legacy will continue to inspire generations to come, and her passing marks the end of an era in Olympic history. Her strength and perseverance remain a testament to the human spirit.
