During a presscon on July 31, Mayor Zamora set the record straight with a firm denial.

"Bilang isang ama gusto ko po sabihin sainyong lahat na hindi po totoo Si Amanda, my daughter, and Daniel are not linked in any way," Mayor Zamora asserted. He further emphasized, "To set the record straight, hindi po Amanda at si Daniel Padilla. At kung meron man nagsasabi na sila, ako na po nagsasabi na hindi po iyon totoo."

The Mayor, who has been friends with Daniel Padilla since 2017, clarified that the two families have maintained a good relationship. "Si Daniel Padilla ay kaibigan ko since 2017. Ang kaibigan ni Amanda si Magui (Daniel's sister) sa totoo lang. We remain good friends. That is why I was very honored na ako po ang napili ng kanilang pamilya na mamuno ng kasal po ni JC at kinuha po ako na ninong," he added.

The speculation about Padilla's love life has intensified since his breakup with Kathryn Bernardo in November of last year, after an 11-year relationship. Since then, both Daniel and Kathryn have been linked to various personalities, fueling ongoing media and public interest.
