Sara Duterte On Her Time In The Hague: 'I'm Okay, But I Worry About My Kids'

Vice President Sara Duterte assured the public that she’s doing fine in The Hague, but she admitted that being away from her children is the hardest part.

In an online press briefing on Thursday, March 20, Duterte shared that while she’s physically well—getting enough sleep and eating properly—her biggest concern is her kids, who are not used to being apart from her.

“I’m okay, surprisingly, I’m okay. Wala naman akong nararamdaman, so on that point, I think I’m okay. Nakakatulog naman ako nang maayos, siguro dahil sa pagod,” she said.
She added that while her work in The Hague and back home can be managed remotely, parenting is something she can’t do from afar.

“Ang hindi ko magawa is maging nanay remotely sa aking mga anak dahil nasanay sila na nandiyan ako lagi,” she explained.
Duterte shared that her youngest child, in particular, is used to sleeping beside her, making the separation even more difficult.
Despite her worries, she remains focused on her responsibilities abroad while ensuring that everything back home runs smoothly.
