Sebastian Duterte Slams Bongbong Marcos Admin Over ICC Warrant Talk: 'Clowns Behaving Like Clowns Again'

Looks like things are heating up in the Duterte camp. Davao City Vice Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte didn't hold back when he reacted to news about his father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, being arrested due to an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant.

In a fiery social media post, Baste called out the Marcos administration, claiming they’re fantasizing about the scenario to distract people from the real issues—particularly the controversy surrounding the national budget.

"They are insisting that PRRD get on a plane to who knows where using an ICC warrant which does not have jurisdiction in this country. Clowns behaving like clowns again. This has to end✊," he wrote.

He didn’t stop there. Baste also suggested that the whole thing is just a smokescreen:

"Bongbong Marcos admin is fantasizing that this scenario would materialize hoping that the issue on the national budget would just go away. The smell of desperation."

That’s some serious shade thrown at the current administration.
The ICC has been investigating Duterte’s controversial war on drugs, but the Philippine government has repeatedly insisted that the international court has no jurisdiction over the country. With PRRD still holding strong influence and his son Paolo Duterte recently hinting at a Senate run, the political drama isn’t dying down anytime soon.

What do you think—just another political spat, or is there more to this?
