Steph Curry Hits 4,000 Threes - And Makes NBA History (Again!)
Steph Curry has done it again. The man who redefined the three-point shot just added another milestone to his already legendary career: 4,000 made triples. No one else in NBA history has ever reached that mark. Not even close.

And the timing? Just a day before his 37th birthday. Talk about a perfect early gift.

The Shot That Made History

With 8:19 left in the third quarter, Curry took a pass from Moses Moody on the right wing, shrugged off a defender, and—swish. The Chase Center erupted. The Warriors went on to dominate the Kings, 130-104, marking their 11th win in 12 games.

The celebration didn’t stop with the crowd. During a timeout, a tribute played on the big screen, featuring none other than Andris Biedrins—yes, that Andris Biedrins—the guy who assisted Curry’s very first NBA three-pointer way back in 2009.

“I actually had an emotional moment on the bench when I saw that,” Curry admitted. “They didn’t tell me they got a video message from him. That was my vet when I was a rookie.”

Even Steph had to take a second to soak in how far he’s come. From that first three to 4,000. Crazy, right?

The Chase for 4,000

Curry needed just two threes to hit the milestone coming into the game. He got his first with 5:35 left in the opening quarter. The anticipation was building.

His second? Not as easy. He missed a couple of deep shots—including a 30-footer that hit the front rim. But the energy in the building never wavered.

“I could feel the buzz from the moment I made my first three,” Curry said. “Even when I missed, the crowd was right there with me.”

When the historic 4,000th finally dropped? Pure euphoria.

What’s Next for Steph?

So, how are the Warriors celebrating?

“What do you get for the guy who has everything? Maybe I’ll give him a day off,” coach Steve Kerr joked.

The entire team received commemorative T-shirts to mark the occasion, but let’s be real—Curry’s not done setting records.

In 2021, he passed Ray Allen’s long-standing three-point record (2,973). Now, he’s at 4,000. The next closest active player? James Harden, sitting at 3,127.

Former player and current Kings coach Doug Christie put it best:

“Steph has changed the game in so many ways. Watching his journey from a kid in Toronto to becoming the greatest shooter ever? It’s humbling.”

Kerr, meanwhile, wasn’t shy about throwing out a wild prediction.

“8,000,” he joked.

Curry’s response?

“I don’t think he wants to coach that long.”

With the way Steph keeps going, though? Who’s betting against him?
