Over in the UK, it's chaos with the NHS reporting widespread issues affecting GP surgeries, trains, shops, and pharmacies. Meanwhile, airports are seeing long queues as American Airlines and other carriers ground flights.

The root cause? A hiccup with CrowdStrike's cybersecurity software, which seems to have triggered a Microsoft system outage.

The mess isn’t confined to just one part of the world. In the Philippines, Cebu Pacific has put out a notice about the ongoing technical troubles linked to the CrowdStrike and Microsoft fiasco. The airline is struggling with manual processing, leading to potential delays for passengers. They’re working hard to sort things out and promise to keep everyone updated.

Banking services aren’t spared either. LANDBANK has alerted clients to intermittent issues with their digital channels due to the global Microsoft outage. However, their ATM services and Mobile Banking Applications (MBA) are still running smoothly. RCBC and Metrobank are also feeling the impact, with disruptions reported in their online banking services.

George Kurtz, President & CEO of CrowdStrike, has addressed the situation, clarifying that this is not a security breach but rather a technical glitch. "CrowdStrike is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts," Kurtz said. "Mac and Linux hosts are not affected. We’ve identified, isolated, and deployed a fix. We recommend that organizations communicate with us through official channels for updates."
