"I’m very honored and grateful for being the top pick," said Gagate, expressing her commitment to elevate her team's standing in the league. The draft event showcased the power of women, with draftees and seasoned stars from all 12 teams adorned in elegant attire, adding a touch of sophistication to the occasion.

The draft was dominated by former La Salle standouts, with Leila Cruz, Julia Coronel, and Maicah Larozza picked by Capital1, Galeries Tower, and Farm Fresh respectively. Their youthful energy and determination are set to invigorate their teams in the upcoming Reinforced Conference and beyond.

Lucille Almonte of Adamson broke the trend by being selected fifth by Nxled, contributing to their roster overhaul, while UP’s Steph Bustrillo was chosen by Akari.

With promising talents injected into the league, following a blockbuster conference, anticipation mounts for an exhilarating and competitive season ahead. Gagate brings not just her skills and experience, but also her leadership qualities, evident from her recent standout performance in the AVC Challenge Cup.

Capital1’s second pick, Leila Cruz, expressed her eagerness to embark on her professional career after recovering from a recent injury, while Capital1 owner Mandy Romero praised Cruz as a formidable addition to their lineup.

Galeries Tower selected Julia Coronel, a versatile former national team member, aiming to maximize her abilities across various roles, including setter and opposite spiker.

Farm Fresh is optimistic about their prospects with Maicah Larozza’s versatility, while Nxled’s pick, Lucille Almonte, aims to bolster their defense and absorb wisdom from veteran teammates.

In subsequent rounds, teams like Akari, Cignal, PLDT, Chery Tiggo, Petro Gazz, Choco Mucho, and Creamline strategically added depth to their rosters, setting the stage for a season filled with intense competition and strategic gameplay.

Zus Coffee rounded out their picks with Sharya Ancheta, Nikka Yandoc, and Jen Zeta, adding depth to their lineup. Capital1 and Galeries Tower also bolstered their squads with promising talents, ensuring a competitive edge in the upcoming season.
