Take a look at the water levels in Cagayan River across various municipalities in the province.

The images show the water level at Magapit Bridge in Lal-lo, as well as the Cagayan River in Brgy. Nassiping, Gattaran, and Pared River in Alcala, Cagayan. Currently, these areas are experiencing light to moderate rainfall due to Typhoon Carina.

In Occidental Mindoro, 12 families from Purok Malasin, Sitio Fernandez, Barangay Poblacion have been preemptively evacuated due to rising floodwaters caused by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon, intensified by Typhoon Carina. This evacuation was led by Mayor Cesar M. Tria, Jr, the chairperson of the MDRRMC, along with the BDRRMC of Barangay Poblacion, the 102nd Special Action Company, MDRRMO ERT, and other local government personnel.

In addition, due to current weather conditions, Kennon Road is CLOSED effective today, July 23, 2024, to ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and residents. This decision follows the protocols set by the MBLISTT Development Authority (MBLISTTDA) and recommendations from the Department of Public Works and Highways - CAR (DPWH-CAR). The closure is in line with the authority's mandate to manage transport and traffic within the BLISTT areas, and will remain until conditions improve.
